Doing In Not Doing is being the “Just Be”

Besides the Holy-Spirit and the teachings of Jesus, my greatest teacher has been the teaching of Lau Tzu; The Tao Te Ching. Verses 1, 4, 6, 7 & 67 are my favourites. They teach;

Verse 1:

The Tao that can be told
Is not the eternal Tao
The name that can be named
Is not the eternal Name.

The unnameable is the eternally real.
Naming is the origin
Of all particular things.

Free from desire, you realize the mystery.
Caught in desire, you see only the manifestations.

Yet mystery and manifestations
arise from the same source.
This source is called darkness.

Darkness within darkness,
The gateway to all understanding.

Verse 4:

The Tao is like a well:
Used but never used up.
It is like the eternal void:
Filled with infinite possibilities.

It is hidden but always present.
I don’t know who gave birth to it.
It is older than our creator.

Verse 6:

The Tao is called the Great Mother:
Empty yet inexhaustible,
It gives birth to infinite worlds.
It is always present within you.
You can use it any way you want.

Verse 7:

The Tao is infinite, eternal.
Why is it eternal?
It was never born; thus it can never die.
Why is it infinite?
It has no desires for itself; thus it is present for all beings.

The Master stays behind; that is why she is ahead.
She is detached from all things; that is why she is one with them.
Because she has let go of herself, she is perfectly fulfilled.

Verse 67

Some say that my teaching is nonsense.
Others call it lofty but impractical.
But to those who have looked inside themselves,
this nonsense makes perfect sense.
And to those who put it into practice,
this loftiness has roots that go deep.

I have just three things to teach; Simplicity, patience, compassion.
These three are your greatest treasures.

Simple in actions and in thoughts, you return to the source of being.

Patient with both friends and enemies, you accord with the way things are.

Compassionate toward yourself, you reconcile all beings in the world.

As a young aikido (Japanese martial arts) student I learnt about an aspect of Taoist philosophy called Wu Wei, which is about “Doing by not Doing.” which strangely enough, has become the “ONLY WAY” I get anything done – It is the only way I now know!

Wu Wei philosophy teaches that, when nothing is done, nothing is left undone. When I first encountered this paradox I became seriously worried about my IN-sanity because even though it made perfect sense to me, a part of my mind had a serious issue with it. After all I was an ambitious yuppie climbing the ladder to worldly success, and I was doing things “My” way and nothing was going to stop me or so I thought. The Holy-Spirit knowing full well why I chose this incarnation had a very different path for me – and now looking back on my life I can see with perfect clarity how perfect it has been indeed. Not always what my Egoic-Mind wanted, but most certainly what The Soul in my Higher-Self desired.

About a year ago I discovered how the Tao, or what I call Energy of the Holy-Spirit works; So instead of trying to make something happen in my usual efforts of planning, willpower,  severe determination and endless hours of hard work, I go within and see the action accomplished. Then something very different happens. The action doesn’t mysteriously become accomplished by magic or by non-effort, but I experience a state of “flow” which enables me to move through the task with natural ease, passion and incredible efficiency. It seems Magical, when in fact it is completely natural, because God’s will is that my will be done. When I then further align my will to God’s will, the rate at which it happens is nothing short of what seems to be a miracle.

I have also noticed that when I surrender all to God’s will, knowing that God’s will is that I be Joyous, peaceful, loving and abundant, the state of “flow” that I enter into leads to higher level of productivity and my ability to meet seemingly impossible challenges within whatever I am applying myself to seems to be magically easy. And in my case, each task I enter into varies daily since I work as a change-management and skills development coach in a variety of different and very challenging industries.

The message of Voice of the Holy-Spirit (or the Tao) is to develop exactly such a state of flow and to do it by developing deeper states of inner awareness through meditation and prayer. Through my daily meditation and prayer sessions I am easily able to invoke a state of “The Flow” and I am therefore, able to go within, attune with my Higher-Self and realise how the intended task will serve those who I am serving whilst at the same time serve the fulfilment of my highest ideal which is to be At One with GOD. When I come out of my meditation and prayer session I find that when I engage the illusionary  world of action, I am able to execute my tasks in complete perfection as if I am guided by an inner intuitive FORCE which is NOT FROM THIS WORLD.  As the Tao says; “when in a state of flow, the action is guided from within and the doer virtually vanishes into the deed.” There is no other way to be!

The key to creating the desired state of flow is through acknowledging that you have already reached a state of At-One-Ment with God. Knowing that you are already ATONED with God, you can act in a manner which is perfectly aligned with all other people, places, things and events including any circumstances related to your work. Nothing seems impossible because in Truth,  being one with God makes anything possible. As “The course in Miracles” says; “nothing real can be threatened, and nothing unreal exists”. You may seem as if you are the person executing the job at hand, but the reality is that it is the Holy-Spirit or the Tao that has responded to your inner alignment and thus ensures that all is done in what seems to be an effortless synchronicity. In such moments you will experience alignments of biblical proportions and what you once called coincidences become common occurrences in your life. Your inspired creativity will be beyond comprehension by others around you and you will take on a seemingly angelic persona in their eyes. People, places, things and events will all come together at the exact right time and in the right place to serve you because the flow of the Holy-Spirit is a harmonisation of God as One Right Here in the Now.

The message given to me by the Holy-Spirit is this; “Beloved, there is no other right-minded way”.

When you are in the flow, everything comes together in an effortless movement resulting in the highest possible level of achievement. By applying the power of your intention to a task or objective, connecting with your Higher-Self and then surrendering it all to the Will of God, you will commence a most perfect creation in the right manner, at the right time and in the best conceivable way possible. You will have no needs because you will have at your disposal all the resources you need to achieve any conceivable goal. Everything including more than you can imagine will be given to you, and the law of attraction will have nothing to do with it, since you have no need to attract what you already are. So when you then enter into the “Flow” you will find that you will become a Naturally Expression What You ARE through your tasks, jobs and challenges. Most importantly you will find that those around you who enter into the flow of energy which flows from God through your inner being will be brought to a similar level of blissful expansion. People will gravitate towards you without knowing why, and no matter what their egoic minds tell them, they will find it difficult to work with you in reaching the same results.

Everything will happen as it is meant to be, the surrendering which leads to doing, by not doing will be the only way in which you’ll want to play on earth. Your life will become effortless, and as the philosophy of Wu Wei and the Tao Te Ching reminds us; “The realm of being has become manifest in the world of action”. In the True Authenticity of Reality – there can be no other way, for there is no other way than that of the Tao/Holy-Spirit/God.

Blessings beloved Siblings
